High dpi displays can often result in horrible looking uis, either tiny little icons or blurry text. cause modo does not currently support 4k high dpi monitors. modo’s ui may appear too small on a 4k high dpi monitor to use satisfactorily: image 1: modo 13.0v1 as it appears on a 4k monitor by default. When using modo on a 4k high dpi monitor, the ui scaling may not conform to the scaling set in the windows 10 display setting. a 14 inch laptop with 1366 by 768 (720p) resolution has a relatively low dpi, and would now be considered lodpi, while a 14 inch 3840 by 2160 (4k ultra hd) qualifies as hidpi. dots per inch refers to the number of pixels, or dots, that appear for every inch of your screen. right click the application, select properties, select the compatibility tab, and then select the disable display scaling on high dpi settings check box. select display > change the size of text, apps, and other items, and then adjust the slider for each monitor. this requires applications to adjust when the user moves the app to a monitor with a different dpi, or changes the zoom level. Many computer and display configurations now support high dpi (dots per inch) resolutions, and can connect multiple monitors with different sizes and pixel densities. check the box next to override high dpi scaling behavior. step 4: a second pop up window appears on the screen. Step 3: under settings, click change high dpi settings.
